How to get to the Coffee Region?
The Coffee Region is served by two main airports:
Armenia (AXM), located to the south.
Pereira (PEI), located to the north.
Armenia primarily offers connections to Bogotá and Medellín, while Pereira provides a wider range of flight options, including direct flights to Cartagena.
Hacienda Bambusa is located approximately 30 minutes from Armenia Airport and 2 hours from Pereira Airport, making both airports convenient gateways to the property.
How to Get to Barichara?
By road from Bogotá via Villa de Leyva
For clients who enjoy scenic road journeys and sightseeing, Barichara can be reached by land from Bogotá, with an overnight stay in Villa de Leyva along the way.
Travel time: approximately 4 hours from Bogotá to Villa de Leyva + 4 hours from Villa de Leyva to Barichara.
By air via San Gil
The fastest option is to fly from Medellín to San Gil, followed by a 40-minute transfer to Barichara. Satena Aerlines operates this route on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
By private aviation
San Gil Airport also welcomes charter and private aircraft. Private aviation is a convenient and reliable option for reaching Barichara from other regions of Colombia. Contact us for more information and assistance arranging a private flight.
Via Bucaramanga (BGA)
Bucaramanga International Airport (BGA) is the closest commercial airport with international connections, approximately 3.5 hours from Barichara by road.
The journey includes spectacular views of the Chicamocha Canyon, making the transfer an experience in itself.
