Casa Yahri features four large, independent rooms, a pool overlooking the village, a heated Jacuzzi, social areas, and a beautiful garden.
THE CONCEPT
LOCATION AND ACCESS
Casa Yahri is located in Barichara, one of the most beautiful towns in Colombia, just a few hours from Bucaramanga across the Chicamocha Canyon.
HOW TO GET TO BARICHARA?
For those travelers who enjoy road trips and scenic views, the first route to Barichara is from Bogotá, taking advantage of the opportunity to spend an evening in Villa de Leyva, located on the route to Santander.
Travel time: 4 hours from Bogotá to Villa de Leyva + 4 hours from Villa de Leyva to Barichara.
The fastest way to get to Barichara is to fly directly from Bogotá or Medellín to the new San Gil Airport, which is just 45 minutes away. Nativ Air and Satena operate the route on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
San Gil Airport is also available for charter and private flights. Private aviation is affordable and safe in Colombia. It is the easiest way to travel to Barichara from other regions of the country. Contact us for more information.
Bucaramanga (BGA), the nearest international commercial airport, is 3 hours and 30 minutes from Barichara. The overland journey is truly epic with stunning views of the Chicamocha Canyon.

Casa Yahri offers three elegant categories of 4 rooms, for a total capacity of 10 guests. Each room design provides a unique and intimate experience while preserving the charm of Barichara's colonial architecture. Each room is carefully planned with generous spaces, modern amenities, and views of the surrounding gardens and landscapes.
Suite Chicamocha / (1) with private swimming pool
Accommodation: 1 King or 2 Twin beds, plus one additional single bed for a total of 3 guests.
The Chicamocha Suite is located on the ground floor and features a pleasant private terrace. It was once the home's study and library, so furnishings from that era have been preserved as part of the decor.We recently added a private pool with a terrace, for the exclusive use of guests staying in this suite.
Junior Suite Aratoca / (1) with private terrace
Accommodation: 1 king bed or 2 twin beds, plus a single bed for a total of 3 guests.
The Aratoca Suite is located on the upper floor and is part of the original historic house, built in the late 19th century. It features a large private terrace ideal for relaxing, a dressing room, and an outdoor bathroom.
Standard Guane / 2 rooms
Accommodation: 1 king bed or 2 twin beds, for a total of 2 guests each.
The house has two adjoining, independent standard rooms that share a terrace overlooking the nature reserve. These rooms are ideal for families or friends.
GASTRONOMY
At Casa Yahri, guests can enjoy a personalized dining experience that enhances the rich flavors of the region's traditional cuisine. Each day begins with a delicious homemade breakfast featuring Santander arepas, eggs, fresh fruit, a variety of breads, and local coffee or hot chocolate.
For lunch and dinner, the concierge will recommend Barichara's most outstanding restaurants, ensuring guests enjoy the town's diverse cuisine. For a more intimate culinary experience, Casa Yahri's own chef will prepare a private dinner with a specially designed menu tailored to guests' preferences.
Thanks to its equatorial location, the temperature remains virtually constant year-round, ranging from 21°C (70°F) to 30°C (86°F). In this arid and dry region, rainfall is scarce, although it can occur at any time. The months of December and April are less likely to experience frequent rainfall.

Adventurers may hike from Barichara to Guane, visit La Cabrera or Jordán, go horseback riding, or try downhill mountain biking. For those seeking adrenaline, thrilling activities like rappelling down waterfalls and rafting on the Fonce or Chicamocha Rivers are available.
