While popular towns like Salento and Filandia draw crowds during high season, we know quieter backroads and lesser-known villages where you can experience the same postcard views without the bustle.
This region isn’t just about sipping world-class coffee—it’s about walking among the tallest wax palms in the world, soaking in thermal springs, and riding horseback through cloud-covered trails.
It’s ideal for travelers seeking slow adventures, cultural connection, and the calm power of nature in one of Colombia’s most beloved regions.
Day 1
Upon arrival at Pereira, Armenia, or Manizales airport, your local guide will greet you and transfer you to your hotel nestled in the lush hills of the Coffee Region.
Spend your afternoon settling in—whether relaxing by the pool, enjoying mountain views, or taking a short walk through the surrounding coffee fields. Depending on your hotel, dinner is typically served on-site, featuring fresh regional ingredients.
Day 2
Today is all about soft adventure and connection with nature. You might choose to hike among towering wax palms in the Cocora Valley, visit a working coffee farm for a hands-on tasting experience, or ride horseback through cloud forest trails.
Return in the afternoon with time to unwind at your hotel and take in the peaceful surroundings.
Day 3
Dive deeper into the region’s culture with a visit to a family-owned coffee estate or a traditional village. Meet local artisans, learn about the coffee-making process from bean to cup, and discover the rhythms of daily life in this mountain region.
Day 4
Transfer to your next destination.
Optional Extension:
Stay longer with a night or two in a secluded coffee hacienda or eco-lodge, where you can wake to birdsong, enjoy fresh brews at sunrise, and fully disconnect in nature.

Coffee Region is a year-round destination. Driest months are from December to March and in July. Light rains can occur the rest of the year but rarely affect travel plans or outdoor experiences.

From Bogotá, Medellín and the rest of the country:
The Coffee Region is served by three main airports: Pereira (PEI), Armenia (AXM), and Manizales (MZL), all within easy reach of most destinations.
There are direct flights from Bogotá, Medellín, Cartagena and Panama City with airlines like Avianca, Latam, and Copa.
Land transfers between towns are short and scenic, usually under 2 hours.
Private charter flights and helicopter transfers are also available for faster access and stunning aerial views of the Andes and coffee landscapes.
