  • Then, take a direct flight to San Gil, located 40 min away from Barichara.

4 nights in Barichara

  • Cross the Chicamocha Canyon to reach Bucaramanga airport and catch a direct flight to Cartagena.

HOW TO GET TO THE COFFEE REGION?

  1. The Coffee Region is served by two airports. Located in the south, Armenia (AXM) primarily offers flights to Medellín and Bogotá. More flight alternatives are available at Pereira (PEI), which is in the north and includes a direct route to Cartagena.

  2. La Casa en las Nubes is conveniently situated halfway the two airports, 1 hour and 15 minutes away from each, and 1h30m away from Hacienda Bambusa.

  3. Hacienda Bambusa is located 30 minutes away from the Armenia (AXM) airport and 2 hours away from Pereira (PEI) Airport.

HOW TO GET TO BARICHARA?

  1. For clients who like road excursions and sightseeing, the first way to get to Barichara is by land from Bogotá, spending the night in Villa de Leyva on the route.

    Travel time: 4 hours from Bogotá to Villa de Leyva + 4 hours from Villa de Leyva to Barichara.

  2. The quickest way to get to Barichara is to fly from Medellin to San Gil's brand-new airport, which is only 40 minutes away. Satena Airlines operates the route on Mondays, Wenesdays and Fridays.

  3. San Gil airport is also accessible for charters and private planes. In Colombia, private aviation is reasonable and safe. It is the simplest way to traveling from other regions of the country to Barichara. Contact us for more information.

  4. Bucaramanga (BGA), the closest commercial airport, is 3 hours and 30 minutes from Barichara. With breathtaking views of the Chicamocha Canyon, the drive is truly epic.
